Decibel Studios built the DailyJobs.ai: Job Autofill & Tracker Chrome extension (the "Extension"). The Extension is provided by Decibel Studios free of charge, with an optional paid Pro upgrade, and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of information if anyone decides to use the Extension. This policy covers the Chrome extension only. The DailyJobs.ai website and the DailyJobs Android app have their own privacy policy at https://dailyjobs.ai/privacy.
If you choose to use the Extension, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
The Extension helps you fill in job applications and keep track of the jobs you apply to. To do that it stores the information you give it, and it is designed so that all of this information stays in your browser. It is saved using Chrome's extension storage on your device and is not collected by us in any way. Decibel Studios does not operate any server that receives data from the Extension, and the Extension does not send your profile, resumes, answers or tracked jobs to DailyJobs.ai or anyone else.

The only information that leaves your device is described in the "Pro Upgrade and Payments" section below (your license key, sent to our payment provider to verify a Pro purchase). The Extension contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no tracking.

The Extension requests the following permissions to provide its core functionality:
When you autofill a form, the Extension looks at the form's field labels in your browser, matches them with your locally stored profile, answers and resume, and types the matching values into the form on your screen. Your resume file is attached only to a resume or CV upload field. The Extension never submits a form for you; you review it and press submit yourself. It does not fill passwords, and it never ticks consent or terms checkboxes on your behalf.
If you turn on "Autofill as soon as an application opens" (off by default), the same filling happens automatically when an application form opens on a supported job website. Please always check a form before you submit it.
If "Remember my answers" is on (it can be turned off in Settings), when you answer a new question on an application form yourself and then press Next, Continue or Submit, the Extension saves that question and your answer to your local answer bank so it can fill the same question next time. The company name and job title in a saved answer are replaced with placeholders so the answer fits the next company. The Extension never remembers passwords, government ID or social security numbers, passport details, bank or card details, or date of birth, and it never remembers fields that already come from your profile. Remembered answers are stored only on your device and can be edited or deleted in the Answer bank at any time.
The "Fill from resume" feature reads the resume file you choose and fills empty fields of your profile (such as your name, contact details, work experience, education and skills). The file is read entirely inside your browser using the bundled, open-source pdf.js library (for PDF files) or the browser's built-in tools (for DOCX and TXT files). Your resume is not uploaded anywhere.
From the Extension's popup you can turn autofill off for a website, and turn off saving for a website (no remembered answers and no Applied tracking there). These choices are stored on your device as a list of website names, which you can review and reset in Settings.
When you save a job, or when the Extension notices that you submitted an application on a supported site, it stores the job's title, company, location, salary, link and description in your local job tracker. On the free plan, submitted applications only update jobs that are already in your tracker; with Pro they are also added. You can edit, delete, export (Pro) or import jobs at any time. Exported CSV files are created in your browser and downloaded to your device.
The Extension offers an optional Pro upgrade (monthly subscription, yearly subscription, or lifetime purchase). Payments are processed by Dodo Payments on their secure checkout page. We do not collect, store, or have access to your card or payment details.
After purchase, Dodo Payments issues a license key, which is shown on the checkout return page and emailed to you. To unlock Pro, the Extension sends the following to Dodo Payments' license API:
When a license is activated, Dodo Payments returns the purchased plan, the email address used for the purchase, and the activation date. The Extension stores these locally on your device only to show your plan details. They are not sent anywhere else. Your profile, resumes, answers and tracked jobs are never sent to Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments' handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy, linked above.
The Extension's Backup & Restore feature exports the data you choose (profile, resumes, answers, tracked jobs and settings) to a file that is downloaded to your device, and can import such a file. Backup files are created and read entirely within your browser; the Extension does not upload them anywhere. Because a backup file can contain your personal details and resumes, keep it somewhere safe. Backup files do not include your license key.
If you use "Contact Us", the Extension opens WhatsApp (wa.me) in a new tab with the message you typed, so you can send it yourself; the Extension does not send or store that message. "Share" copies a short message with a link to the Extension to your clipboard. Links to DailyJobs.ai, YouTube, Instagram, Google Play, the Chrome Web Store, and our other apps simply open those websites in a new tab.
The Extension does not collect log data, crash reports, or usage statistics. If something goes wrong, error details are written only to your browser's local developer console and are never transmitted.
The Extension does not use cookies. Websites you visit, including job websites and the Dodo Payments checkout page, may use their own cookies according to their own policies.
The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Your data is used only to provide the Extension's single purpose of filling in job applications and tracking the jobs you apply to. We do not sell user data, we do not use or transfer it for purposes unrelated to that purpose, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use or transfer it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes. No human at Decibel Studios can read your data, because it never leaves your device.
All data the Extension stores lives in your browser until you delete it. You can edit or delete any profile field, resume, answer or tracked job in Settings and the Job Tracker, and "Delete all my data" in Settings removes your profile, resumes, answers and tracked jobs at once. Remove your license with "Remove from this browser". Uninstalling the Extension deletes all of its locally stored data. To ask Dodo Payments about purchase records, contact Dodo Payments or use the details in your purchase receipt email.
We value your trust, thus we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting your information. Your data is kept in Chrome's extension storage, which other websites cannot read, and communication with Dodo Payments uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Anyone with access to your computer and Chrome profile may be able to see the data the Extension stores, so protect your device with a password. Remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
The Extension may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services, including the employers and job websites you apply through.
The Extension does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
